Mechtek Engineering Consultancy Ltd is a specialist mechanical engineering company with in-house design, project and direct services capability.
Based in South Wales the company has grown and established a reputation for delivering bulk and solids materials handling engineering projects on time and within budget across the UK and Europe.
The company is currently seeking a proven, experienced and capable Design Engineer to deliver turnkey projects on behalf of clients for mechanical systems and plant installations, across the UK. Experience of machine design with the use of AutoCad is sought for this position.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- A solid track record of project management and commissioning. Delivering projects on time and within budget cost.
- IT and AutoCad competency skills, AutoCad design of automated machinery and plant installations, involving pneumatic, conveyance, mechanical and electrical components for process, handling and testing systems.
- Experience of preparing quotations, dealing with tender documentation.
- CDM knowledge
- H&S competency and preparation of method statements/risk assessments
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Minimum HND/HNC level education and mechanical qualification, or equivalent
- A willingness to travel and a driving licence
- Experience of design and project management in at least one of the following - bulk materials handling and storage, pneumatic conveying, bulk process engineering, water / wastewater supply chain.
- Mechanical project experience in at least one of following industries – Power, Waste & Refuse, Chemical, Buildings and Structures, Cement & Aggregates, Water, Plasterboard, Food and Drinks.
